How can I enter Daily 3?+

You can enter Daily 3 by visiting an authorized lottery retailer. After asking for your ticket, you must pick three numbers between 0 and 9. You can also go for a Quick Pick ticket if you are not set on which numbers to choose. The Daily 3 game has several play types, and you can check them out on the How to Play page.

What time do ticket sales close?+

You need to pay $1 for one Daily 3 entry.

Can I play Daily 3 in advance?+

Yes, the Advance Play option allows you to enter the same set of numbers for 1-7 or 14 consecutive draws.

How is the prize calculated if I choose the Straight/Box play type?+

If you play Straight/Box, your wager will be equally divided between the Straight and Box play styles. You win by either matching your three numbers in the exact order (Straight type) or by matching all three winning numbers in any order (Box type). If you play 1-2-3 and choose the Straight/Box play type and those numbers are the drawn ones, you will win a part of both wagers. If the Straight prize is $500, you will win $250. If the Box prize is $200, you will win $100. Therefore, the total amount of your prize would be $350.

What are the odds of winning a prize?+

The odds of winning a Daily 3 prize depend on the play type you choose. These can range from 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 167. Please check out the Odds and Prizes page for more information.

How can I claim a prize I won?+

Depending on the amount you won, you can claim your winnings at an authorized California lottery retailer or by visiting a California Lottery District Office. Alternatively, you can also claim your prize by mail. Find out which option suits you best on the How to Claim page. Winnings must be claimed within 180 days from the draw date.
