How to Play Mega Millions in California
This exciting draw game has a jackpot starting at $50 million and grows until somebody wins! Do you think you could be the next Mega Millions winner? Getting started is easy. If you want to enter, just visit an authorized lottery retailer to purchase your ticket and follow the steps below:
Select your numbers
Select five numbers between 1 and 70, plus a Mega Ball number between 1 and 24. Alternatively, you can ask for a Quick Pick and have a random set of numbers generated for you. Decide whether you want to mark the Advance Play option which allows you to enter up to 10 consecutive draws.
Purchase your ticket
The price of a Mega Millions entry is $5 per play. You need to make sure you enter before 7:45 PM PT on the day of the draw. What is a multiplier?
The multiplier is a built-in addition to every Mega Millions ticket. It increases the value of any non-jackpot prizes by either 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X the base amount. Each person will have a different multiplier upon purchasing a ticket - it's randomly distributed, but some are more likely to appear than others. When to check the results?
Draws for the Mega Millions game are held two times per week, on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 8:00 PM PT. After every draw takes place, you can check the Mega Millions results as we update them right away.
